Chichiri Cultural Troupe attended 2009 Pan-African Cultural Festival in Algeria. This is in accordance with our aim. Our aim is to systemise all cultural knowledge expressed through performances of the world into reality like participating in festivals.

Chichiri Cultural Troupe is an international cultural troupe. The group was established on 16th October 2006 at Chichiri Museum Ground in Blantyre. The troupe is registered member group under the Malawi Folkdance, Music and song society (MFODMASS) Southern Region Chapter. The group is registered with provision of the business Names Registrations act (CAP.46:02). As a group, Chichiri Cultural Troupe has twenty three members and a board of three trustees. The members have vast experiences in folk arts productions in entertainment, advertisement, awareness campaign and civic education amongst others. These are highlighted in the Chichiri Cultural Troupe profile.
The mission of Chichiri Cultural Troupe is to become a master key and messangers in every activities of promotion, civic education, awareness campaign in support or against any situation in Malawi, attending regional, national and international cultural activities like festivals. However, the following are our mission statements.
1. To participate in the promotion of regional, national and international cultural folk arts programs
2. To work hand in hand with the Malawi folk arts, Museums of Malawi, Unesco (United Nations Educational, Scientific And Cultural Organisations), COSOMA (Copyright Society of Malawi), Arts and Crafts Department to preserve the cultural heritage and to promote wildlife and tourism in Malawi through folk arts.
3. To educate people about the danger of HIV/AIDS and other sexual transimitted diseases through folk arts.
4. To live and work together in a stimulating communities of the cultural exchange of life in different tribes.
5. To give the youth a chance to advance with thier artistic talents.
6. To create new ways or models of expression originating thier roots of cultural activities and values.See our main activities
